Wire rope consists of several strands laid helically in one or more layers around a core.
Each strand is likewise made of metal wire laid together like a helix.

	The world's most frequently used strand construction for elevator ropes is the 19-wire Seale strand (strand: 1+9+9). Because of the thick outer wires, the Seale strand offers a high degree of resistance against external wear during use.
	Ropes made of Warrington strands (strand: 1 +6+ 6/6) offer better bending fatigue properties than comparable ropes made using Seale strands. The outer wire circle of the Warrington strand is made of far thinner wires than a Seale strand. The rope is thus subject to less flexural stress. Ropes made of Warrington strands are particular suitable for use in traction elevators with double-wrap drives or in roped hydraulic elevators.
	Ropes with fller strands offer a good balance in both abrasion resistance and bending fatigue ; resistance in relation to other comparable ropes. One popular rope of this kind is 8x25Fi+ FC (strand:1 +6+ 6F+ 12). Filler strands are used in elevator ropes with diameter of greater than 1 6mm due to their improved flexibility. The fller strand is sensitive to geometric distortion which may lower the rope's service life. Filler strands for ropes with diameter less than 10mm is not recommended due to the extreme thinness of filler wires.
	Ropes of Warrington-Seale constructions (strand:1+7+7/7+14) feature a compact construction with solid support for the wires. This strand construction is used in compensating ropes with large diameters from 24mm. In such case the outer wires of a Seale strand would become excessively thick.

1. Are the elevator wire ropes durable?
The elevator wire rope has special provisions and requirements. Configuration is not only for wire rope and rated load, but also considered the size of the traction, as a result, the tensile strength of wire rope is greater than the weight of the lift. 2. Is it dangerous for power failure suddenly during the elevator running?

3. Will us be hurt when it closed suddenly?

4. How the elevator running?
Elevators are operated with a counterweight wire rope through the (tractor) traction drive, making ups and downs on the guide rail.
5. Is the escalator installation complicated?
